Whitewater churns into foam as double-ended paddles windmill one-person boats into position. NFL Jerseys China . The paddles go up in the air as the boats slide through red or green gates, then the furious wind milling begins again. For a sport that doesnt get the attention of some of the more well-known ones, whitewater canoe and kayak has plenty of action and drama.A few things to look for in whitewater canoe/kayak at the Rio Olympics next month:THE LOWDOWN: The four canoe/kayak slalom events will be held Aug. 7-11, with medals award the final three days. Men compete in single and double canoe, along with kayak. Women compete in kayak only. The races will take place at the Whitewater Stadium in Deodoro on a steep 250-meter course that has between 18 and 25 gates. Green gates are negotiated with the current, red against it. Paddlers are assessed a two-second penalty for hitting a gate and 50 seconds for missing one completely.EUROPEAN DOMINANCE: European countries have dominated the sport since its inception at the 1936 Berlin Olympics and show no signs of letting loose of their stranglehold. In mens canoe slalom (C1), European counties have won every medal but one since the 1992 Barcelona Games, when the sport was put back into the Olympic program after a 20-year absence. Europe has accounted for all but one medal in kayak (K1) and 16 of 18 medals in two-person canoe (C2) during that span. Women have had a little better chance breaking through the European stronghold, with paddlers from the U.S. and Australia combining for six of the 18 medals since Barcelona.AMERICAN MEN: The United States team has two paddlers with solid chances to earn medals in Rio. Kayaker Michal Smolen, who emigrated from Poland as a child, was unable to compete at the 2012 London Games due to a delay getting his his citizenship, but should make a strong run to the podium this time around. Smolen earned bronze at the 2015 world championships and has times that compare to the best paddlers in the world. Not bad for someone who was terrified of the water when he first started kayaking at 8. Canoeist Casey Eichfield will be competing in his third straight Olympics and will try to pull off a double, competing in C1 and C2 with Devin McEwan. Eichfield finished fourth at world championships and was in the top 15 his previous two Olympics.NEES RELIEF: Womens kayaker Ashley Nee had a rough road to her first Olympics. She qualified for the 2008 Beijing Games, but injured a shoulder during a test event and wasnt able to completely recover in time for the Olympic trials, finishing fourth. Nee had enough points to qualify for the 2012 London Games, but was edged out by Caroline Queen on a tiebreaker. Nee won the Olympic trials this May, yet still didnt have a spot secured; she had to await a decision by the International Canoe Federation to award the United States an additional athlete quota spot. Now at 27, shes headed to her first Olympics.C1 OPENING: Mens single canoe has been dominated by two paddlers the past five Olympics: Michal Martikan of Slovakia and Frances Tony Estanguet. Starting with the 1996 Atlanta Games, those two won every gold medal in C1; three by Estanguet and two by Martikan. There will be a different champion in Rio after Estanguet retired and Martikan, the only canoe slalomist to win five Olympic gold medals, failed to make the Slovakian team for Rio.KEEP AN EYE ON: Kayaker Jiri Prskavec of the Czech Republic is the type of paddler who could be uncatchable if hes on his game. His father, Jiri, was a two-time Olympian and the younger Prskavec has a chance to make bigger waves in Rio. He was the 2015 world champion and has five medals in world championship competition. BOWLING GREEN, Ohio -- James Knapke and Scott Miller hooked up on three scoring passes and Bowling Green survived a late charge to hold off North Dakota 27-26 on Saturday.Trailing 27-20 late in the final quarter, North Dakotas Keaton Studsrud led the Fighting Hawks on a 65-yard drive to close to within one when he hit Stetson Carr from the 3 with 13 seconds remaining. North Dakota (0-2) went for the 2-point conversion and the win, but Studsrud just missed Carr in the corner of the end zone ass the pass skipped off his fingertips. Cheap NFL Jerseys Authentic. Nathan Hughes insists sacrificing a World Cup and building a new life halfway across the globe proves his commitment to Englands cause after qualifying on residency. Jerseys Wholesale .Hughes has revealed he suffered some criticism after opting to represent England, rejecting the opportunity to go to World Cup 2015 with Fiji.Wasps Fiji-born number eight is in line for his Test debut during Englands autumn internationals, with the 25-year-old bursting with pride to have made coach Eddie Jones Elite Player Squad.World Rugby could extend the three-year residency qualification period for a nation to select a player born abroad by two years - but Hughes has outlined the challenges of the current system. It wasnt easy. People said youre not from here, why do you want to play for England, you should be playing for your own country, Hughes told Press Association Sport. But at the end of the day its my decision and its my choice, who I want to play for. I count this as home now. England is where Ive played for more than three years and Im comfortable in saying this is home.No disrespect, Fiji is always in my heart and my family will always be there. But this is where I play my rugby, this is my bread and butter, over here.Hughes left Auckland for Wasps in 2013 and has detailed how seeking a fresh start in a new country on the other side of the world was not always plain-sailing.At the end of the day, its my decision, said Hughes. I had chats with family and friends, talking options and things, and theyve backed me with my decision and Im happy to make that decision, to play for England. It was a long three years. To be fair when I first came to Wasps that wasnt in my mind to play for England. But as the year went along and I got games under my belt, I felt good, then the second year I got going again, and I came into form. And then it came into my mind that England could potentially be one of my goals. My family and everyones delighted, stoked and chuffed for the decision Ive made as well.It is very exciting to have made the England squad, but the easy bits done now. Ill have to battle really hard to keep making the cuts moving forward. If I can keep playing well and improving week on week then hopefully the rugby will do the talking.Hughes has first-hand experience of Wasps transformation from cash-strapped strugglers to Aviva Premiership power, and credits much of that progress to rugby director Dai Young.Young stuck with Wasps through several lean years searching for a new home, and is now reaping the rewards with his side flourishing on and off the field at their Ricoh Arena base in Coventry.Wasps currently sit second in the Premiership after making the play-offs last term and reaching the Champions Cup semi-finals.Youngs side make the trip to Toulouse on Sunday in a bid to stamp an early claim for top spot in Pool Two.Im massively grateful to Dai for both the opportunity to play here and the way in which hes backed me and helped me improve, said Hughes.Ive got to grab it with both hands and be grateful for the chance, because I know just how much people would want to be in my spot.My games come on hugely in the time Ive been here. This is my fourth season now with Wasps. Weve moved on a lot in that time, its a big change.Im happy the clubs moving in the right direction and I want to be a part of it.Dais been telling us its all up to us if we want to win silverware and I think the players hes brought in and signed are here to do the job and I want to be a part of that as well. On Tuesday, Ottawa placed forward Cory Conacher and defenceman Joe Corvo on waivers as trade rumours swirl around the Senators. SEATTLE -- Richard Sherman saw the poise from Carson Wentz on film. He saw the correct decisions being made by the rookie and the success Philadelphia was having thanks to Wentz.Sherman also knew Wentz had yet to see a defense like Seattles. He was pretty poised. He wasnt shook, hes a rook. Thats what he is. Hes been kind of getting an easy walk through this league, Sherman said. And then he ran into some people that weve been there before. Weve seen your looks, we know your plays. Hes going to learn from it and hes going to work hard and come back.Wentz and the rest of the Eagles received an education in what it takes to reach the top of the NFC on Sunday, thanks to Seattles 26-15 victory on Sunday . It was the fifth straight road loss and showed the thin line the Eagles are still walking between being competitive and, for the most part, being dominated. While Wentz showed flashes of greatness against Seattles standout secondary, he also was 5 of 14 for 25 yards and two interceptions during a stretch of the second and third quarters as Philadelphia watched its 7-6 lead turn into a 23-7 deficit. On a day Philadelphia needed to be close to perfect to hang with the class of the NFC West, the Eagles made too many careless mistakes.I think its a benchmark for us. You look at certain games on your schedule and obviously this is one, Philadelphia coach Doug Pederson said. They are a team that is playing extremely well. We were coming off of a good win a week ago. These are benchmark games. No mistake stood out more than wide receiver Nelson Agholor not lining up correctly on a second quarter play that became a 57-yard touchdown pass to Zach Ertz. Agholor was not close enough to the line of scrimmage and did not check with the official nearest to him, who was signaling for Agholor to move forward. Instead of a touchdown that would have given Philadelphia a 14-13 lead, the Eagles didnt find the end zone again until late in the fourth quarter. That was a big play and mental errors like that you cant have, Agholor said. I know better than that and I shouldnt have done that.Seattle took advantage of Philadelphias lapses and also showed the Eagles defense has a way to go to join the elite of the NFC. Russell Wilson threw for 272 yards and a touchdown, and caught a 115-yard touchdown on a trick play pass from wide receiver Doug Baldwin. Wholesale Jerseys. he Seahawks finished with 439 total yards -- the third time this year the Eagles have allowed more than 400 yards -- and had three drives inside the Philadelphia 30 that resulted in just six points. The 11-point margin could have been much larger if Seattle was better in the red zone.Weve been able to do a lot already, weve had a good season already, Wilson said. Theres just more we can do and theres more out there. Thats the exciting part for us.Heres what else to know from Seattles third straight win:ABSENT RECEIVERS: For the first three quarters, Philadelphia had almost no production from its wide receivers. Jordan Matthews and Dorial Green-Beckham finished with a combined 10 catches for 113 yards and a touchdown. But through three quarters, the duo had exactly two catches for 15 yards, the same amount of yards as Wilson had on his TD catch.INJURY BUG: Both Seattle and Philadelphia suffered significant injuries that could have lasting impact.Seattle lost running back C.J. Prosise for a significant amount of time with a shoulder blade injury. Starting cornerback DeShawn Shead and safety Earl Thomas both left with hamstring injuries.Philadelphia lost running backs Ryan Mathews (knee) and Darren Sproles (ribs) to injuries, although Pederson did not know the severity or length of the injuries after the game.In total, 17 players missed at least one play during the game due to an apparent injury.BIG PLAY SEAHAWKS: Seattle has rediscovered a knack for big plays on offense.Starting with a 72-yard touchdown run by Prosise on Seattles fifth offensive play, the Seahawks had six plays of 20 yards or more. Wilson found Baldwin for completions of 44 and 34 yards and also hit Jimmy Graham on a 35-yard touchdown in the second quarter.Seattle had five plays of 20 or more yards in last weeks win over New England.Youve seen us make shifts in the past, this is one of those big shifts for us, Seattle coach Pete Carroll said. EDMONTON, Alberta -- The Dallas Stars finally have some positive momentum going. China Jerseys Cheap .Patrick Eaves had a goal and an assist and Kari Lehtonen made 40 saves as the Stars won for the second time in two nights, beating the Edmonton Oilers 3-2 on Friday.Lauri Korpikoski and Antoine Roussel also scored for the Stars, who had lost six of seven before turning things around with a win at Calgary on Thursday night.I havent played back-to-backs in a long time, so that was a nice challenge and it was fun to get lots of action too, it kept me in the game easily the whole time, Lehtonen said.Dallas forward Tyler Seguin, who picked up two assists, said the Stars really clamped down defensively. Were finding ways to defend, Seguin said. With the guys out of the lineup, thats a lot of speed and a lot of goal scoring. Our main focus and discussions have been how were going to defend. I thought our goalie did a great job tonight and our D made some great plays and some smart plays and our forwards track back hard. It was good things the last two nights, were going to put it away and keep it going.Patrick Maroon and Tyler Pitlick scored for Edmonton, which has lost two straight to fall to 2-4-1 since starting the season 7-1-0. Cam Talbot stopped 27 shots. Were always playing from behind, Oilers captain Connor McDavid said. Were putting ourselves behind the 8-ball and we have to figure out a way to have better starts. They did a good job at trapping up the middle and not allowing us to get speed. Ultimately, weve got to find a way to win a game like that. Its just not good enough coming close.Roussel got the tiebreaking goal with 5 minutes left in the second period, taking a partial breakaway pass from Seguin and beating Talbot.Edmonton had some solid chances in the dying minutes, but Lehtonen preserved the win.Dallas got off to a fast start, scoring on the first shot of the game, just 28 seconds in. Jamie Benn fed it into the slot to Korpikoski, who blasted a shot past Talbot.Jordan Eberle put the Oilers back on the offense just three minutes later, fishing a puck out of a scramble in front of the net and putting a shot on Lehtonen, with Maroon sweeping in to score his sixth of the season.Eaves scored on a long point shot to make it 2-1 for Dallas five minutes into the first period.Edmonton tied the game up again with 29 seconds left to play in the opening period as Pitlick got the puck behind the net and swooped out front before calmly lifting a backhand past Lehtonen.Game notes The Stars have been forced to get by without six of their top forwards, with Cody Eakin, Patrick Sharp, Ales Hemsky, Jiri Hudler, Jason Spezza and Mattias Janmark all absent from the lineup. ... Coming into the game, the Stars had gone 17-3-4 against the Oilers over the past seven seasons. ... After an exciting Week 1, youve got tough calls to make; lets get started on answering your fantasy football questions for Week 2.Rawls or ware? #startsitESPN- noel anderson (@wieitot) September 18, 2016Kansas Citys offense led the league last week in my good blocking rate (GBR) metric that measures how often an offense gives its ball carriers quality run blocking. Ware is healthy and should get the lions share of the carries again this week, so he gets the start over Rawls, who may end up splitting carries with Michael. -- KC JoynerPlease convince me to start Bortles over Luck this week #StartSitESPN- Seth T (@sht75) September 18, 2016You got it. There are many reasons to think the Jaguars have playoff potential and their vertical passing game (production on aerials thrown 11 or more yards downfield) is chief among them. Bortles threw 14 vertical passes last week, which is a very high single game number, and should throw just as many this week vs. a so-so Chargers secondary. Lucks road game at Denver is arguably the toughest matchup any quarterback has this week. Add that to the Colts not having the ability to deal well with a power defense and it ranks Bortles over Luck. -- KC@ESPNFantasy Sterling Shepherd or TJ Yeldon at the flex position? PPR format #StartSitESPN- Matt H (@mholtz81) September 18, 2016Yeldon will get a bell cow workload since Chris Ivory has been ruled out of this contest due to illness. As well as Shepard played last week and as favorable as his matchup is vs. a terrible Saints secondary, hes still an alternate receiver in that offense. Workload wins out over upside, so start Yeldon. -- KC#StartSitESPN Stafford or Manning?- Tony Sultini (@Tsult25) September 18, 2016Manning arguably has the most favorable matchup of the week against an abysmal Saints pass defense that is now missing its best cornerback (Delvin Breaux). Eli should end throwing the ball as often as Stafford, so volume wont be an issue. That makes Manning the hands down winner here. -- KC@ESPNFantasy start or sit Todd Gurley #StartSitESPN- The Dude (@mmoore1620) September 18, 2016For all of their issues on offense last week, Los Angeles still ranked eighth in the league in my good blocking rate metric that measures how often an offense gives its ball carriers quality blocking. Gurley doesnt need good blocking very often to break off a long touchdown run, so he has to be put in the lineup this week. -- KC@ESPNFantasy #StartSitESPN Moncrief or Shepard WR2 PPR? Thanks- Donna Cromeans (@DJRiter) September 18, 2016It is really difficult to trust Moncrief in that tough matchup at Denver. Shepard is likely to hit a big play against the aforementioned terrible Saints secondary, so he should get the start. -- KC@ESPNFantasy cooks or dez standard league #StartSitESPN- Ramon Quiroz (@TheRealRayRay27) September 18, 2016Bryant saw only five targets last week, but four of those were of the stretch vertical variety (meaning they traveled 20 or more yards downfield). That gives Bryant upside potential against Washington, but Cooks is playing in what might be the highest scoring game of the week. The suggestion is to go with Cooks in this one. -- KCcam newton or eli manning? #StartSitESPN #RosterAdvisorESPN #StartSitESPN- Nick Dumitriu (@nick_dumitriu) September 18, 2016San Franciscos defense ranked 25th last week in my good blocking rate metric, meaning they allowed the opposing offense to give ball carriers quality run blocking quite often. That means Carolina will be able to lean on the ground game early and often. The Panthers likely dont want Newton to be rushing the ball any more than absolutely necessary after the hits he took in Week 1. Add those factors to Manning having arguably the most favorable matchup of the week and it puts Eli in the lineup over Cam. -- KC@espnfantasy Flex PPR - Jeremy Hill or Tyler Lockett?? #StartSitESPN- Brian Flores (@B_Flo23) September 18, 2016Hill is facing a Pittsburgh rush defense that had the third-best mark in good blocking rate allowed in Week 1. This metric measures how often a defense allows the offense to give its ball carriers quality run blocking, so Hill may be hard pressed to break off long gains. Having noted this, Seattles rush defense ranked 28th in that category last week. That means the Seahawks can go to their ground game as often as they like, something that doesnt bode well for Locketts target volume. I would go with Hill because of that limitation. -- KC@ESPNFantasy #StartSitESPN Ravens D or Pats D- Pj (@SuperJParty) September 18, 2016Its always good to add a defense/special teams quandary to the mix. The Ravens will likely have the turnover edge due to facing Josh McCown, a quarterback with a long history of posting subpar numbers in my bad decision rate metric that measures how often a quarterback makes a mental error that leads to a turnover opportunity for the opposing team. That kind of upside is difficult to ignore, so go with McCown. -- KCTodd Gurley or Isaiah Crowell? #StartSitESPN- Emily Mallis (@emmallis) September 18, 2016Nothing illustrates how the fantasy world has lost faith in Gurley more than this question. As bad as he played last week, Gurley has more home run potential in one quarter of his game than Crowell will post in an entire game. As noted earlier, the Rams offense placed eighth in the league last week in my good blocking rate metric. All of these factors combine to give Gurley the start edge this week. -- KCFlex Spot: Golden Tate or TJ Yeldon #StartSitESPN- Aaron Martinez (@A_Mar620) September 18, 2016Tate was expected to be utilized more often on downfield throws this year, but in Week 1 all seven of his targets were of the short pass variety (meaning they were thrown 10 or fewer yards downfield). Yeldon will get the bell cow workload since Ivory will miss this game due to illness, so he deserves the start this week. -- KCWill fuller or Emmanuel Sanders #FantasyFootball #StartSitESPN- D??? (@DC_Chillin) September 18, 2016Fuller outgained DeAndre Hopkins last week in targets, receiving yards and fantasy points. Fuller also looked like a veteran wideout on tape. Sanders has a very favorable matchup against a banged up Colts secondary, but the Broncos are going to lean on the power rushing game since the Colts rush defense is nearly as bad as their pass defense. The suggestion would be to play for the upside and start Fuller. -- KCJ. Stewart or D. Freeman? 1/2 PPR #StartSitESPN- Buck Williams BowTie (@BWilliamsBowTie) September 18, 2016Freeman owners should be very worried about last week, as Tevin Coleman had nearly as many offensive snaps as Freeman (36 for Freeman, 32 for Coleman) and nearly as many touches (15 for Freeman, 13 for Coleman). Stewart is facing a San Francisco defense that ranked 25th in my good blocking rate metric (which means they allowed good blocking for opposing backs frequently). Freeman probably still rates over Stewart in a PPR environment because of his pass catching ability, but it is a really close call. -- KC#StartSitESPN For starting qb, Bortles or Roethlisberger??- Carlos Montanez (@Usa01usa) September 18, 2016Roethlisberger has the second toughest matchup among quarterbacks this week according to my matchup rating scale. Bortles threw 14 vertical passes last week (a very high single game number) and could do so again this week. Even with these caveats that look to be in Bortles favor, Roethlisberger pilots the best offense in the NFL and thus is arguably immune to matchups. That last fact puts the vote in favor of starting Roethlisberger. -- KCMichael Thomas or Michael Floyd? #StartSitESPN- Chris Brown (@cbreez_24) September 18, 2016Thomas has the advantage of playing in what will probably be the highest scoring game of the week (New Orleans at the New York Giants). That might seem to give him the edge, but Floyd is matched up against a Tampa Bay secondary that may have the worst set of safeties in the NFL. The Buccaneers and Cardinals are also both vertically inclined passing offenses and may end up throwing more vertical passes this week than in any other game in Week 2. Floyd is more central to his teams passing game than Thomas, so start Floyd. -- KC#StartSitESPN #FFNow Demariyus Thomas or roll with Eli Rogers?- The Johnson Five (@mylifewith3kids) September 18, 2016This is a tough call, as Adam Schefter is reporting that Thomas is expected to play in the Colts-Broncos 4:25 PM ET kickoff contest. Having noted this, Thomas may be limited with his injury and could have an upside cap due to the Broncos leaning on their ground game versus a suspect Colts rush defense. Rogers is more of a hit-miss prospect, but he has the upside of playing in the Steelers offense. The suggestion would be to start Thomas due to the favorable matchup and his being more central to his teams offense, but this is a case where either selection has a lot of risk. -- KC#StartSitESPN Rodgers or Bortles?- Nicholas Price (@nicholasp1182) September 18, 2016Dont scoff, fellow fantasy nerds, as Bortles outscored Rodgers overall last season and regularly throughout fantasy Sundays last fall. That said, Rodgers has produced 17 touchdowns and no picks in his last six visits to Minnesota and is again an elite fantasy option with his full complement of receiving weapons in place. Bortles is in a nice position as well, as a road dog in a potential shootout, but Rodgers is trustworthy in this spot. -- Jim McCormickKyle Rudolph Virgil Green or Brent Celek #StartSitESPN #streamingTEs- Anthony Sprotti (@helmmoose) September 18, 2016Green has a nice red zone role forming, albeit with a one-week sample and some preseason evidence, but one that is at least appreciable enough to differentiate from this crowd of streaming tight end options. -- J.M.#startsitESPN rivers or luck?- josh (@josh_moyston) September 18, 2016Ill side with our projections here and go with Rivers, who is simply in a stronger position to return value as a QB1 at home against an exploitable secondary. Passing volume could still drive value for Luck if the Colts get down, but with Denver employing a ball control offense, Rivers is likely to match or best Lucks passing opportunities. -- J.M.#StartSitESPN Det Jones WR, Cle Crowell RB, or Den Sanders WR, flex position- Eric Helm (@ehelm3) September 18, 2016Lets go with Jones here. Sanders is in a nice spot against a depleted secondary, but a conservative passing offense counters the upside a bit. Jones led the Lions in targets and was the only downfield threat in the scheme, in some senses assuming the Calvin Johnson route tree. -- J.M.Steve Smith Sr or Michael Crabtree WR2 #StartSitESPN- Jake Salzbrunn (@jsalz1919) September 18, 2016I want to see Smith actually produce before sending him out there in starting lineups. This is one of those cases where Im fine wasting a good game if he delivers from the bench in fantasy leagues, as his inefficient numbers were glaring in Week 1. Crabtree, meanwhile, is a safer option and has the stronger red zone role on his team, if we are to trust the sample size over the past season. -- J.M.#StartSitESPN Allen Hurns or Mohamad Sanu- Colby Davis (@TakeOffN321) September 18, 2016Call me a skeptic, but Im not sold on Sanu maintaining his production pattern from Week 1. Meanwhile, I think Hurns bounces back against Brandon Flowers and the Chargers secondary, especially in a game that could trend pass-heavy for the Jags given the healthy implied point total. -- J.M.Gronk is out, who to start? Warford, tamme, Pitta, Rudolph or zach miller?#StartSitESPN- Benitez J (@jones_calsones) September 18, 2016As noted above, Rob Gronkowski has been ruled out for the Patriots home game against the Dolphins. This is clearly a blow to his investors, but could be the best thing for his season-long value if he can get fully healthy. That said, his owners will need to source alternatives this week. Ill go contrarian here and pick Pitta over these more established names. Pitta has a rare rapport with Joe Flacco and had a sizable lead in routes and targets among the teams tight ends last week. The Browns safeties and linebackers are exploitable in coverage, so were cool with taking the requisite risk on Pitta. -- J.M.Mohamed Sanu or Sterling Shepard at flex? #StartSitESPN- Guy Hayun (@GuyHayun3) September 18, 2016Give me the rookie here. Am I chasing a higher ceiling in this case? Yup, but its really a good spot as Shepard was on the field for nearly 90 percent of the teams snaps last week and could again see a worthy share of the passing game against arguably the top matchup in fantasy for receiving corps. -- J.M.Bortles or Carr? Im torn! #StartSitESPN- Bryce N. Davis (@WhoIsBryceDavis) September 18, 2016Ill take Carr at home here with his bevy of passing game options. The Falcons just ceded huge numbers at home to Jameis Winston and have no pass rush to speak of. -- J.M.Alshon Jeffery or Donte Moncrief PPR #StartSitESPN- Michael John (@EnforceLA) September 18, 2016Good problem to have. Alshon is your guy here -- in fact he could produce truly elite numbers if the team schemes to get him snaps against seventh-round rookie Jalen Mills on the outside, as Phillys secondary is already dinged up. -- J.M.Garoppolo or Osweiler? #StartSitESPN- chip (@theotherchip) September 18, 2016Prefer Jimmys home setup and higher floor, however small the sample. Osweiler saved the day with some big plays last week, but Garoppolo appears more bankable in this steady game manager role against a softer defensive matchup. -- J.M.#startsitESPN PPR league pick two Evans, Edelman or GOlsen. Thanks- Marc Epstein (@MEpstein17) September 18, 2016I suggest sitting the tight end here, even one as solid as Olsen. Its just a preference for the higher route rate we see for receivers given the lack of pass blocking their roles naturally dictate. -- J.M.@ESPNFantasy #StartSitESPNNeed out 2 of 3Jarvis Landry will fuller Fitzgerald- geez49 (@geez49) September 18, 2016I recommend sitting the rook for these more established PPR mavens, as weve already covered, these two receivers have elite reception rates over the past season. -- J.M.Ryan Matthews or Ameer Abdullah as Flex in standard league? Ezekiel Elliot and McCoy are RB1 and 2. #StartSitESPN- Nathan Simpson (@NathanSimpson22) September 18, 2016Im siding with Mathews given the potential for higher workload and the fact Theo Riddick consumes a valuable share of early-down and more importantly the high-percentage targets in the Lions volume-driven passing game. -- J.M.Start the Vikings defense at home opener against Rodgers or the Eagles defense on the road against Cutler? #StartSitESPN- Kevin Fitzgerald (@kfitzmj) September 18, 2016The rare D/ST question weve seen todayy -- going with the Eagles established pass rush in a game with a low point total. China Jerseys Wholesale. If I can avoid the Packers capable offense in favor of Jay Cutler & Co., that makes sense. -- J.M.#StartSitESPN Do I start Demariyus Thomas in the flex and gamble on his hip injury?- John Lane (@vaboy042) September 18, 2016With the late afternoon timing Id prefer to go with an alternative if your best bench options are from the earlier portion of the slate. Its better to get numbers than risk a no-show. -- J.M.Rawls or ware? #startsitESPN- noel anderson (@wieitot) September 18, 2016A really common dilemma this morning is Rawls and Ware, which makes perfect sense since ADP this summer allowed for both to prove affordable. Im siding with Ware this week, as I trust his role and workload more and would prefer to see Rawls net the uptick in usage first before deploying him over Ware, who has an established dual-threat role already. -- J.M.@espnfantasy Mike Wallace or Ameer Abdullah for flex? #StartSitESPN- Matthew Cook (@mtcook21) September 18, 2016Even as we sided over Abdullah earlier, lets go with the talented tailback in this one given his far higher floor and an expectation for double-digit touches. Abdullah looked really good on tape this past week and has enough of a share of the Lions offense to merit trust over Wallaces more boom-or-bust usage pattern. -- J.M.@ESPNFantasy Matt jones or Justin forsett for rb2? #StartSitESPN- Ben (@bennybuttons97) September 18, 2016Forsett is a popular name today. Jones was on the field for fewer than 40 percent of the teams backfield snaps in Week 1, but that was also due to the game script tilting pass heavy. Even if Jones earns increased usage here, I dig Forsetts even share for touches for a Ravens offense that could roll on the Browns as road favorites. Forsett tallied 170 yards from scrimmage last October against Cleveland. -- J.M.@ESPNFantasy D Thomas or Crabtree in ppr today #StartSitESPN- Flint (@msubulldawgman) September 18, 2016Given a quality alternative, lets sit Thomas with his game-time decision scenario and instead trust Crabtrees sizable target share. It helps to consider Atlanta had no sacks last week and the fewest in 2015, so the Raiders passing game can get downfield today. -- J.M.Danny Woodhead or Latavius Murray in PPR format? #StartSitESPN- Bearded Jack (@JackVenezia) September 18, 2016In a PPR format, Im all about Danny boy, as the Jags have allowed the fifth-most receptions and fourth-most receiving yards to backs since the start of last season. Woodhead was targeted on 25 percent of his routes in Week 1 and simply has the higher floor in this scoring format than Murray. The Raiders back arguably has the higher touchdown ceiling, but thats definitely up for debate. -- J.M.#StartSitESPN T.Y. Hilton or Julian Edelman?- Jack Mahon (@jmahon99) September 18, 2016Jimmy Garoppolo completed all seven targets sent Edelmans way for nearly 10 yards per attempt against a capable secondary in Week 1. With a higher reception floor and softer matchup, Ill actually side with Edelman here despite Hiltons stronger reputation in the big-play department. The Denver secondary is a factor here, as theyve been stingy to vertical targets dating back to last season. -- J.M.Doug Baldwin or Kelvin Benjamin at flex? #StartSitESPN- Kyle Nichols (@jknich323) September 18, 2016Really solid options here, Kyle. Lets get Baldwin in there over the hulking Benjamin. Both have nice matchups, while Baldwins dominant target share and scoring rapport with Wilson is simply more attractive. -- J.M.@ESPNFantasy ppr RB2 Langford or Ingram #StartSitESPN- JG (@Jwhirl312) September 18, 2016I like Langfords role as the bell cow for Chicago, but prefer Ingram in a bounce-back spot for the Saints in that potential points-fest in the Meadowlands. Ingrams snap share was troubling last week, as it was just above 40 percent, but the Saints afford their backs a healthy batch of goal-line touches and have targeted their backs with the second-highest frequency, ?behind only Detroit, since 2014. -- J.M.@ESPNFantasy you like Freeman or Derrick Henry if you had to start one for rb2? #StartSitESPN- Speed Kills (@Jason_N_PDX) September 18, 2016Henrys time will come, but hes still an understudy at this stage, playing just 30 percent of the snaps and struggling to get on track on the ground in Week 1. Given this, Freeman is still in a better spot to produce than the rookie. We saw Freeman net the coveted goal-line role in the preseason and throughout 2015, so there is still promise in that department even if a committee has developed in Atlantas backfield. -- J.M.#StartSitESPN flex position- Bryant, Landry, or Cobb. PPR- Ryan Welch (@Rywelch) September 18, 2016Landry has 117 receptions since the start of last season, tied with Larry Fitzgerald for third most in the league over this span, thus his production pattern is so bankable for PPR leagues. Bryant is clearly the superior talent of this trio, but he has really struggled with quarterbacks other than Tony Romo, hauling in fewer than half of his targets for just over 6 yards per target. -- J.M.#StartSitESPN Wheaton or John Brown?- dblanchard (@donb812) September 18, 2016Wheaton is dinged up and was never really so efficient or effective outside of that one big game against the Seahawks last season. Brown struggled last week, but was on the field for more than 70 percent of the teams snaps and simply is the better player and has a stronger rapport with his quarterback. -- J.M.#StartSitESPN Palmer or Flacco?- Philonic (@philonic) September 18, 2016The Cardinals daring vertical offense under Bruce Arians offers a great spectrum of floor and ceiling for Palmer, who was among the most consistent fantasy performers last year. The Bucs defense is talented, but also surrendered more than 17 fantasy points per game to opposing arms last season, thus well side with Palmer positioned as a home favorite in this one. I do dig Flacco in a volume-driven Trestman system against a soft defense, but think we can trust Palmer a good deal more in a far better overall offense. -- J.M.@ESPNFantasy Foster or Gore in PPR? #StartSitESPN- SoloNoR2D2 (@PhillyzPhan) September 18, 2016Gore isnt in a good spot here against a stout rush defense on the road, while Foster has a much better total yardage role; his receiving pedigree vaults him ahead of Gore here. -- J.M.Justin Forsett Rb Ravens or Jordan Matthews Wr Eagles? PPR Leauge #StartSitESPN- Ezra Oliver (@RealEzraOliver) September 18, 2016With 14 targets in Week 1 and Carson Wentz texting him at least three times per hour (maybe we made that second part up), Matthews clearly gets the nod in PPR formats. -- J.MLeGarrette Blount or Spencer Ware? PPR #StartSitESPN- Just Alf (@thealf420) September 18, 2016Blount has real value as the early-down workhorse for the Patriots, but in a format that rewards receptions, the nod goes to Ware, who just flashed awesome production in this department despite entering Week 1 with just 5 receiving yards to his name previously. Simply put, we trust Wares workload more. -- J.M.#StartSitESPN Kirk Cousins or Drew Brees- Evan Hazen (@evan_hazen) September 18, 2016I get the hesitation with Brees given his home/road splits really favor him at the Superdome, but the implied point total is lofty and well over 50 points, suggesting the Saints offense will be plenty busy in this game, and that funnels through Brees. Hes the guy here. -- J.M.#StartSitESPN Raider WR Murray or Panther WR Stewart?- Timothy (@pfirefighter86) September 18, 2016Latavius Murray is in a solid position to consume a volume of carries as the teams early-down workhorse. As home favorites against an Atlanta team that has surrendered the most rushing touchdowns to backs since the start of last season, Murray is in a nice spot to deliver solid RB2 production. Stewart is also on a sizable home favorite, but tends to cede valuable goal-line touches to Cam Newton and Mike Tolbert, while banking on Murray appears more reliable. -- J.M.#StartSitESPN Zach Miller or Jesse James?- John Stolnis (@FelskeFiles) September 18, 2016Lets go with The Outlaw in this one. The Bengals have been solid in keeping tight ends out of the end zone, with just one score surrendered to the position since the start of last season, but have also given up the second-most receptions and are one of just five teams to have allowed at least 1,000 yards receiving to the position over this span. With Vontaze Burfict out of the lineup for the Bengals, we find it easier for opponents to pick on the middle of the field. Miller netted a reception on just 10 percent of his routes in Week 1, while James rate was nearly 18 percent. -- J.M.#StartSitESPN cruz or yeldon?- Vaporize (@Jae_Grizzy) September 18, 2016The Chargers have allowed the fifth-most receiving yards, the most yards per reception (8.62), the third-most rushing touchdowns and second-most yards per carry (4.97) to running backs since the start of the 2015 season. Manti Teo allowed seven completions on seven targets last week, so things look good for Yeldons floor as the workhorse with Chris Ivory still out. -- J.M.#StartSitESPN Melvin Gordon or Arian foster at RB2. Standard. @ESPNFantasy- Fat_Happy_Buddha (@FatHappy_Buddha) September 18, 2016With 100 yards from scrimmage last week against a stout Seattle front, it marked the 50th time Foster has met this yardage threshold since becoming a starter in 2010, with only LeSean McCoy (53) enjoying more such outings. That said, well take the dominant market share of Foster heading into New England over Gordons minority take in the Chargers backfield. Even as the Chargers led most of the game in Kansas City last week and with two touchdowns to his name in the outing, Gordon was out-snapped significantly by Danny Woodhead and ran just three routes to Woodys 28 and saw Woodhead enjoy a 9-4 snap advantage in the red zone. Foster sees no such competition, thus his fantasy floor, and ceiling, are likely higher. -- J.M.PPR diggs or wallace? #StartSitESPN- GhostRider_2002 (@GhostRider_2002) September 18, 2016This one isnt so cut and dried, as its really about different usage patterns and is a floor vs. ceiling debate in some senses. Diggs likely has the higher floor of the two in that his usage share in the teams passing game is sizable, but I tend to side with Wallaces higher ceiling against an entirely exploitable Cleveland secondary. Wallace was targeted a team-high nine times in Week 1, good for a target on a healthy 27 percent of his routes, compared to a 20 percent target/route share for Wallace. That said, Wallaces average target traveled 16 yards and his vertical prowess is well established, while snaps against corner Jamar Taylor and Tramon Williams could signal another series of big plays for the speedster. Personally, I side with Wallaces ceiling in standard leagues since its mostly about yardage and touchdown potential, while PPR leagues reward Diggs higher target share more. -- J.M.@ESPNFantasy Theo riddick or spencer ware? ppr league #StartSitESPN- Bradley B (@BedtimeBJJ) September 18, 2016Riddick enjoyed an awesome Week 1, but the Titans have allowed the fewest receptions to backs since the start of last season and Ware is the rare bell cow back in the workload sense, if not in the snap share department. Even as the Texans are a solid defensive group, Wares goal-line usage and impressive spike in receiving success this past week signals RB1 upside, even in PPR formats. -- J.M.#StartSitESPN Tate or Fuller PPR- Jen Haggard-Mlynarek (@JenHaggard) September 18, 2016Even after a relatively quiet Week 1, Tate still netted seven receptions and has the higher floor of these options for PPR formats. Tate, after all, was fourth in the league in routes run last season and is ideally suited for this high-percentage Detroit offense. Fuller is clearly an exciting prospect and merits inclusion in this decision, but Id go with the more bankable target pattern here in Tate. -- J.M.#StartSitESPN Tate or Fuller PPR- Jen Haggard-Mlynarek (@JenHaggard) September 18, 2016I really dig Forsetts setup this week and believe hes a really nice flex option, but Ill stick with Gurley given his dominant market share of the Rams backfield touches and his sole claim to any goal-line work that might occur. The Rams are in an ugly spot here once again, but were simply trusting the superior talent. Gurley earned the third-highest rushing grade on Pro Football Focus even in the face of that ugly stat line Monday. -- J.M.@ESPNFantasy Alex smith or Brock Oswiler #StartSitESPN- Brittney? (@BrittneyBusse) September 18, 2016It gets real out here behind center, as Brittney is deciding between two QB2 options to start this week. With his rushing component factored in, Smith is the more bankable play here, as he produced at least 13 fantasy points in standard leagues in all but two games in 2015 and just set a career high in completions in Week 1. -- J.M.@ESPNFantasy Kenny Britt or Phillip dorsett #startsitespn- Not Matt (@Matt_Ty_) September 18, 2016Going deep again, both in terms of league size (assuming) and vertical usage, as both of these receivers are known for vertical receiving roles. Ill go with Dorsett here, as Britts downfield prowess -- he was top three in air yards per target last year -- is difficult to establish with Case Keenum struggling behind center. Even against a sound Denver secondary, we can envision Andrew Luck getting a few deep shots to Dorsett, who sees a healthy snap rate with the team running three-receiver sets with regularity. -- J.M.@ESPNFantasy Eddie Lacy or Willie Snead at Flex in PPR? Have Ware and Gurley at RB. #StartSitESPN- Blake Currie (@spicy_currie123) September 18, 2016With the PPR format and that high-scoring climate in North Jersey claiming the highest implied point total, Ill side with Snead over Lacy. I actually often trend to siding with the higher floor of a double-digit touch back, but Sneads rapport with Drew Brees and shares of this offense-friendly climate are enough in a format that really rewards his high-percentage receiving role. -- J.M.#StartSitESPN should i start snead shepard or d.murray?- Skyline R34 (@CaMVPsb50) September 18, 2016Here is a case where Ill side with the tailbacks higher usage floor over the potential upside of a young receiver, as Murray is due a healthy batch of touches after dominating snaps and touches for the Titans backfield last week. -- J.M.Thomas Rawls or Melvin Gordon? #StartSitESPN- Cory Schwengel (@CorySchwengel) September 18, 2016With the training wheels reportedly coming off for Rawls and with ESPNs Sheil Kapadia reporting Russell Wilsons designed runs will be limited with his ankle ailment, lets go with Rawls intriguing upside against a fallible Rams rush defense that just ceded 144 rushing yards between the tackles to the 49ers. -- J.M.Russell wilson or joe flacco? #StartSitESPN- Je suis Natalie (@nataliebvaldes) September 18, 2016Sticking with Wilsons situation, well ride with Russ even with any injury concerns. EDMONTON -- The Edmonton Oilers say they have been unable to confirm reports that one of the teams prospects is missing and has possibly drowned in eastern Europe. The NHL club put out a statement late Thursday afternoon saying it was aware of reports Kristians Pelss was unaccounted for in his home country, Latvia, but was unable to confirm conflicting information in that countrys media. "There has been contradictory information reported, at times, and we are trying to confirm the facts," the Oilers said. "Once we are able to do that, we will be able to offer further comment. At this time, our thoughts and prayers are with the Pelss family." Latvian news outlet Apollo reported that Pelss, 20, had died. It cited a rescue service spokesman as saying witnesses saw a man jump from a bridge into the Daugava River in the city of Riga. However, a spokesman for the Latvian Hockey Federation was quoted in the same article as saying he could neither confirm nor deny that it was Pelss. A Russian sports news agency, R-Sport, tweeted that the Latvian Hockey Federation believes Pelss is missing, but not dead. Pelsss agent told The Canadian Press he was looking for more information from Europe. Despite thee conflicting reports, fans flocked to Twitter to pay their respects to the youngster under the hashtag #prayforpelss. China Basketball Jerseys. The Oilers statement comes on the same day the death of another young NHL prospect was confirmed. The Dallas Stars released a statement Thursday on the death of Scott Winkler, who passed away at the age of 23. "The Dallas Stars are heartbroken to hear about Scotts passing," said Stars General Manager Jim Nill. "Scott was a wonderful young man with great character and a bright future; we extend our deepest condolences to his family and friends." Winkler was Dallas third-round selection (89th overall) in the 2008 NHL draft. The cause of Winklers death is not yet known. Moeen Ali thanked the England selectors and team management after leading the fightback on the first day at The Oval. Cheap Jerseys Store .Moeen, who caressed his second century of the summer to help England rebuild from a perilous position of 110 for 5, admitted there have been times he would have dropped himself in recent months and described some recent performances - not least his second innings dismissal in the first Test of the series at Lords when he skipped down the wicket to Yasir Shah and missed a leg-break - as embarrassing. But he credited the faith and consistency of the selectors for the increased confidence of the side in all formats and for his own improved performances.I probably wouldnt have picked myself at one stage, Moeen said. I was embarrassed after Lords. But they stuck with me. Thats the good thing about this side: they stick with players and you see the results. Ive got to thank the selectors and Alastair Cook. I probably wouldnt have picked myself at one stage. It was 50:50.Sometimes guys just need a bit of experience. Each game, you get a bit better. Its a bit like my first-class career: when I first came in, I only averaged 20-something. I got the odd 100 but struggled a bit. But after a while, you get used to it and you get better. It has been noticeable that Moeens form with the bat has improved since injury to Ben Stokes precipitated his promotion back to No. 7 in the order. While he averages 14 as an opener (from six innings), 28.06 (from 19 innings) at No. 8 and 21 (from 11 innings) at No. 6 (he has not batted at No. 3, 4 or 5 at Test level), he now averages 97.16 (from nine innings) when batting at No. 7. All three of his Test centuries have come in the position. While he concedes he has to find a way to cope with the mental shift in coming in as low as No. 8, he also makes no secret of the fact that he finds the No. 7 position more comfortable. To a man who grew-up as a batsman, who used to take pride in selling his wicket dearly and learned to build an innings, coming in with the tail and often feeling the need to slog a quick 20 or 30 never sat easily.Being pushed up that one spot up gave me a boost, Moeen said. I feel like I can go out and play like a batsman. If I go down to No. 8, Ive got to do that as well. After Lords I told myself that, even if I was batting at 8, I would go out like I was batting No. 3 for Worcestershire.I was really embarrassed with my shot at Lords. I decided I had to bat properly again now. I was sick and tired of not scoring runs for England. You could argue that we saw both sides of the continuity of selection debate here. While Moeen vindicated the selectors faith with a century, James Vince failed again. It is increasingly hard to avoid the conclusion that the faith shown in him will not, for now at least, be rewarded.Neither selection was necessarily right or wrong. Had Moeen been caught in the slips on 9, as he should have been, England would have been in deep trouble and the decision to persist with him over Adil Rashid might have been questioned once more. Vince, meanwhile, was unfortunate enough to receive a fine delivery that demanded a stroke, lifted and left him. He was the only man in the top four with no reason to rebuke himself for his dismissal.Vince may reflect, however, on the harsh nature of international cricket. Deliveries like this will come along from time to time, so it is essential that, once he has established himself at the crease - and he has reached 35 on four occasions in Tests this summer - he takes advantage. In years to come, he may well regret not capitalising on those starts more than the three single figure scores he has suffered. He was unfortunate here, for sure, but this was his sixth dismissal to an edge to the cordon and his tenth dismissal in Test cricket without registering a half-century. You cant keep putting these things down to chance. It all means that England may well end the summer (they are likely to have one more innings) with no better idea of their best middle-order than they had at the start. With perhaps only the No. 4 spot up for grabs in Asia - it looks at present as if Jonny Bairstow will bat at No. 5, with Ben Stokes at No. 6, Moeen at No. 7, Chris Woakes at No. 8, Adil Rashid at No. 9 and Stuart Broad and James Anderson at No. 10 and 11 respectively, Gary Ballance, who has not made an irrefutable case for his own retention, may find himself competing with an all-rounder who can act as the third spinner - perhaps Zafar Ansari or Samit Patel - for the final spot in the side. Australias seamers may have noted, too, that Moeen took a ferocious blow to the head from a Wahab Riaz bouncer first ball. While his phlegmatic response to the incident was impressive - little seems to ruffle Moeen - the likes of Mitchell Starc will have noted that the technical issues that have, in the past, rendered Moeen vulnerable to the short ball remain. With an Ashes tour little more than a year away, such moments will have been stored in Australia for future reference. With Moeen stroking his way to a century he rated as the best of his career to date - the standing ovation he received on bringing up his century with a six suggested spectators at The Oval agreed - and England finishing with a total only 50 or so under par, the England management could fool themselves into concluding that all is well with this team. They will know, though, that had Wahab not over-stepped and had the Pakistan slip cordon been better, England could well have been dismissed for a total of around 180. Whether they reach the No 1 ranking or not in the coming weeks, they know that holes need to be filled. The depth of the batting keeps masking flaws but, against the best sides - and we may not look back on this as one of the stronger ages of Test cricket - the chances will be taken and England will not be allowed to escape.Moeen remains a man on trial. His role as Englands first choice spin bowler - a position that he held by a thread ahead of the Old Trafford Test - remains debatable and he may well have an important part to play in this match. While his bowling performances this series may have been underwhelming (he averages 67.57 with this bat this summer and 71 this series), his bowling returns since Lords have actually been noticeable better than Yasir Shahs.Yasir has claimed four wickets for 562 runs since his 10-wicket haul at Lords - thats a bowling average of 140.50 in the last two-and-a-half Tests - while Moeen has taken seven wickets at a cost of 37 apiece. These pitches have offered little to either man.Still, whatever happens with the ball, the depth of Englands batting line-up continues to save them. Moeen, Bairstow - who may well finish the year having broken Andy Flowers record aggregate of Test runs in a year (he made 1,045 in 2000; Bairstow now has 911 with seven-and-a-half Test left to play) from a wicketkeeper - Stokes, Woakes et al. continue to exhaust bowlers and punish the mistakes of fielders. Not for the first time, Pakistans four-man attack was exposed by the England lower-order at The Oval. That depth may well prove to have been the difference between the sides. Cheap Jerseys 2020 . Kiriasis and brakeman Franziska Fritz finished two runs in one minute 55.41 seconds -- a mere 0.01 seconds ahead of Meyers and Lolo Jones, who likely bolstered her Olympic hopes by helping give USA-1 a huge push in the second heat. Russell Westbrook might be the most dominant offensive force the NBA has ever seen -- or at least since the 1977-78 season. Wholesale Jerseys 2019 . For the third season in a row, and the fourth time in nine seasons, Westbrook is on track to do something only four other players have done since calculations for how many possessions a player uses began -- become a member of the 30-40 club. The 30-40 club is for players who manage to use at least 30 percent of their teams possessions and assist on at least 40 percent of their teammates shots while playing at least 1500 minutes during the season. Members of the 30-40 club are such commanding presences on their offenses that it is hard to imagine how the team scores at all without them on the floor.Westbrook is the only active player to go 30-40 in consecutive seasons. Dwyane Wade has reached the club twice, joining Westbrook as the only two active players to do in multiple seasons. LeBron James has only managed it once, as have active players Tony Parker and Deron Williams.Three players are on track to reach 30-40 his season: Westbrook (41 percent usage, 59 percent assists), James Harden (34 percent usage, 58 percent assists) and John Wall (34 percent usage, 48 percent assists). Clearly this is a point guards club because it is hard (though nothing is impossible for LeBron) for a non-PG to dominate the offense in both shot-taking and assists.Westbrook is in a different category, however. If he completes another 30-40 season, it will be his third straight and fourth overall, but if he sustains his current level of play, hell become the first player ever in the 40-40 club.Consider that in only his ninth season in the league, he will have accomplished four times what LeBron James has only done once and something Michael Jordan and Magic Johnson never did. Remember that this is not a club about selfish play -- it requires the player to share the ball at season-leading levels, and Westbrooks assist rates the past two seasons are the highest ever recorded in the 30-40 club.It is also not a club about scoring efficiency, so while Westbrook might be the most dominant offensive force we have ever seen, he is not necessarily the best offensive player. Westbrook has a true shooting percentage (a measure of scoring efficiency that adjusts for free throws and three point shots) of 55 percent. That does not register in the top 20 of most efficient scorers this season and does not compare to former teammate Kevin Durant, who leads the league at 68 percent. While Westbrook will never be the most efficient of scorers, his positive impact on the team is clear. While Westbrook has dominated the ball since he arrived in the NBA, his offenses have not been outside the top 10 at the end of the season since his second season in the league. The Thunder are performing above average offensively this season despite losing three of last seasons top five scorers and replacing them with fairly pedestrian offensive talents. Without Westbrooks offensive dominance, this is a team that very well could be challenging the Mavericks for last place in the Western Conference.Westbrook may or may not end up averaging a triple-double this season, but even if he doesnt, he is still very likely to make history by completing his third straight 30-40 season and establishing himself as the most dominant offensive player of this era.For more analytics content, head to ESPN.com/analytics. Takahashi, who had a 10-point lead after the short program, received 268.31 points after the free skate to finish 15 points ahead of second-place Nobunari Oda.The Detroit Red Wings went looking for a new second-line centre, and found one that has played as a number one quite a bit in recent seasons. Numbers Game breaks down the Red Wings adding Stephen Weiss. The Red Wings Get: C Stephen Weiss. Weiss, 30, is a reliable two-way centre who is coming off a disastrous season in which he was minus-13 in 17 games, scoring only four points, but his season was shortened by wrist surgery. Considering Weiss production in previous seasons -- between 49 and 61 points in each of the previous four seasons -- there is a temptation to write off 2013 as an anomalous lost season due to injury. In Detroit, Weiss fits into the second-line centre spot, a role that seems more natural to his skill set. While he had some productive seasons (back-to-back seasons with at least 60 points in 2008-2009 and 2009-2010) as the number one centre in Florida, Weiss shouldnt be expected to be a top scorer on a playoff team. Initial indications are that the Red Wings will be putting Henrik Zetterberg and Pavel Datsyuk on the Wings number one line, perhaps with newly-signed Daniel Alfredsson (if not Justin Abdelkader, who finished there last season), which would still leave some quality wing options for Weiss, including Johan Franzen, Gustav Nyquist or Todd Bertuzzi. Even if he has strong linemates, its going to be difficuult for Weiss to produce like he did in his peak with Florida because there arent a lot of second-line centres getting 20 minutes of ice time per game. China NFL Hoodies. A reasonable expectation might be somwhere around 45 points, lower than his best years in Florida, but Weiss is in his 30s, coming off injury and likely to play fewer minutes. Florida could have really used Weiss, because they dont have much proven talent down the middle. 2013 first-round pick Aleksander Barkov, Shawn Matthias and Marcel Goc are at the top of the Panthers centre depth chart, so Weiss departure will mean more quality ice time available to them. At least Weiss absence from the lineup last season helped the Panthers make some adjustments at the position, so this change isnt going to be abrupt. Signed for five years and $24.5-million, Weiss will be well-compensated and its possible that, by the end of it, he may not be providing ideal value, but so long as there arent lingering effects from last years wrist injury, Weiss should be a fine addition for the Red Wings. Hes a year older than Valtteri Filppula, whom he effectively replaces in the Red Wings lineup, but Weiss should be more consistently productive. (STATS) -- With first place on the line in the competitive Missouri Valley Football Conference, North Dakota State and Youngstown State might have to overcome a key loss on the offensive end if they hope to pull out a critical victory. Cheap Detroit Red Wings Jerseys .The Penguins are focused on redeeming themselves in their second conference showdown in three weeks after falling at South Dakota State on Oct. 22, but they may have to do it without quarterback Ricky Davis due to an undisclosed injury.Hopefully, we get off to a better start (than against the Jackrabbits) and dont get put behind the eight ball, YSU coach Bo Pelini said. You dont know how the game is going to go. You just never do.North Dakota State, meanwhile, could be missing leading rusher King Frazier after he injured his ribs in Saturdays 24-20 win at Northern Iowa. X-rays were negative, but the he might have cartilage damage and is questionable to play. The Jackrabbits, Bison and Penguins are currently tied atop the MVFC, but either No. 4 North Dakota State (7-1, 4-1) or No. 15 Youngstown State (6-2, 4-1) will be knocked from that perch on Saturday at the Fargodome. The Bison have won the past four meetings, including a thrilling 27-24 road win last November.Davis went 0 for 4 passing in that contest, though he ran for 61 yards and a touchdown on 11 carries. The junior has thrown for 864 yards and rushed for 340 in six games. If he cant go, Hunter Wells will make his second straight start after completing 13 of 26 passes for 101 yards with two interceptions in Saturdays 13-10 win over Indiana State.Wells, a more traditional pocket passer, has gone a combined 24 for 46 for 239 yards with two touchdowns and three interceptions in his two career games against the Bison. They run a lot of the same sets but the ability of the quarterback to carry the football is quite a bit different between the two guys, NDSU coach Chris Klieman said. Well have to be prepared for two guys that can do different things.Fraziers potential loss would be a big one for Kliemans squad, which is struggling offensively. The senior has run for a team-leading 579 yards and eight touchdowns. Sophomore running back Bruce Anderson is expected to miss another week. The Bison have averaged 20.7 points and 332 total yards in their last three games after putting up 31 points and 440.4 yards per contest over their first five. Sophomore quarterback Easton Stick tossed nine touchdowns and just two interceptions through the first five games, but hes now thrown just two scores with four picks over the past three.Stick threw for 176 yards and also ran in the go-ahead four-yard score with 35 seconds left in last years matchup. It certainly wont get any easier against the Penguins, who lead the conference in total defense with 276.1 total yards allowed per game. Avery Moss ranks second in the league with 8 1/2 sacks and third with 10 1/2 tackles for loss, while fellow senior defensive end Derek Rivers is third in sacks with eight and tied for fourth in TFL with nine. Its a great challenge, Klieman said. Everybody talks about their defensive ends -- theyre great players -- and Im really impressed with their front seven, but what really sets them apart is their ability to play man coverage.Youngstown State, however, is having its own troubles offensively as it ranks last in the MVFC at 23.9 points per game. The Penguins have averaged just 12.3 points in their last three after being held to 291 total yards by the Sycamores. We ran for almost 200 yards and moved the ball between the 20s a lot, Pelini said. We had opportunities for points. Obviously, we dont want to turn the football over and thats always (a concern). I thought we played better last week and did some good things, but you have to turn them into points. We just have to keep working to get better.Running backs Martin Ruiz and Jody Webb are a concern for Klieman, who saw Webb rush for a career-high 132 yards and two touchdowns on just five carries against the Bison last season. Ruiz is leading the way this year, ranking second in the conference with 86.9 rushing yards per game to go along with his seven touchdowns.YSU paces the league with an average of 237.8 rushing yards, but NDSU has held opponents to a MVFC-low 93.8 per game.Youve got to go in and earn it. It should be a good challenge, Pelini said. ORCHARD PARK, N. Wholesale Jerseys 2019 .Y. -- The big blue, wobbly tackling dummies didnt stand a chance once Bills rookie linebacker Shaq Lawson came out punching during his first practice in five months on Wednesday.Lining up at the far end of the field, Lawson hit the first dummy with his left fist before rearing back and hitting the next one with a hard right, eventually leaving all four of them rocking back and forth in his wake.It was a fitting moment for Lawson, who saw it as an opportunity to test the strength of his surgically repaired shoulder. It was also a chance for Lawson to vent any lingering frustrations after the Bills decided he required surgery in May when the first-round draft pick aggravated the injury during a similar drill at rookie minicamp.Yeah, I did hit the bag hard, Lawson said. I wanted to test it out a little bit. But it felt great. Everything. The next test is seeing how one of college footballs top pass-rushers last year might fair against opposing NFL linemen in an actual game, and when that opportunity might come.Though cleared for practice, Lawson remains on the physically unable to perform list. Under NFL rules, the Bills have three weeks to activate Lawson or place him on season-ending injured reserve.Coach Rex Ryan hasnt entirely ruled out Lawson from playing Sunday, when the Bills (4-2) travel to face AFC East rival Miami (2-4). Ryan, however, noted he doesnt want to rush back a player after only a few practices. Were going to err on the side of caution, Ryan said. But if hes ready to roll and we feel great about it, he feels great about it, the doctors feel great about it, then lets let it rip.Whenever Lawson is activated, hell be eased in as a backup on a defense that has proved capable of generating a pass rush without him.The Bills are second in the NFL with 20 sacks, one fewer than the team had all last season. And theyre led by 10-year journeyman Lorenzo Alexander , who has an NFL-leading eight sacks while filling the starting spot once reserved for Lawson.Lawsons fine with whatever role hes assigned, and eager for the opportunity to contribute to Buffalos potent pass rush. Those two guys are just unstoppable, Lawson said, referring to Alexander and fellow starter Jerry Hughes, who has four sacks. Us three on the field, it might be special.Lawson hasnt played a competitive snap since capping his college career at Clemson with two sacks in a 45-40 loss to Alabama in the national championship game in January. As a junior last season, he was a consensus All-American for leading the nation with 25+ tackles for a loss and added 12+ sacks. Overall, Lawson had 20 sacks in 40 games despite playing with the right shoulder injury for much of his college career. It wasnt until the NFL combine in February when Lawson said tests revealed he had a torn ligament. The Bills were aware of the injury when they selected him with the 19th pick.Rather than risk Lawson aggravating the injury, the Bills took the precautionary step in electing him having surgery for the chance to have him healthy by October. It was a good decision. If I never got it repaired, and something happened during the season, I wouldve missed the whole season, Lawson said. I feel stronger than Ive ever been since I had the injury 3+ years ago.---AP NFL website: www.pro32.ap.org and http://twitter.com/AP-NFL NFL Jerseys Wholesale . CLEVELAND -- With the Indians top setup man and closer extended to the limit in the opener of the American League Division Series, Cleveland goes into Game 2 against the Boston Red Sox on Friday afternoon at a bit of a disadvantage. Thanks in large part to two scoreless midgame innings from Andrew Miller and 1 2/3 scoreless innings from Cody Allen for the save, the Indians emerged with a 5-4 in Game 1 on Thursday.Miller and Allen each threw 40 pitches. We wanted to win the game tonight, and we did, Cleveland manager Terry Francona said. Tomorrow might have to be a different design.Francona also used Bryan Shaw for two outs, but he was able to avoid employing two other key relievers, Bryan Shaw and Dan Otero.Even so, Francona will be looking for length out of his Game 2 starter, right-hander Corey Kluber (18-9, 3.14 ERA), who will oppose Boston left-hander David Price (17-9, 3.99).Both pitchers will be facing potent lineups that bashed three home runs per side Thursday. The Red Sox and Indians finished No. 1 and 2, respectively, in the American League in runs scored. Boston led the league in hitting and Cleveland led the league in stolen bases. Those guys are so balanced, Francona said of the Boston lineup. If you keep putting guys on base, they are going to hurt you. Theyve built quite a lineup.Price has done well against Cleveland historically. In 14 career starts against the Indians, he is 10-2 with a 2.24 ERA -- his second-lowest career ERA vs. any American League.Price and Kluber were mound opponents on Opening Day in Cleveland, a 6-2 Red Sox victory on April 5. In that game, Price pitched six innings, allowing two runs on five hits with 10 strikeouts and two walks. Kluber pitched 5 1/3 innings, giving up four runs on nine hits with five strikeouts and two walks.Klubers other start against Boston this year came on May 20 in Fenway Park. Kluber got the win in a 6-2 Indians victory, pitching seven innings, allowing two runs oon five hits with six strikeouts and two walks. Wholesale NFL Hoodies. In nine career appearances against the Red Sox, he is 2/3 with a 4.78 ERA.They know what I want to do, and I know what they want to do, so nobody is going to trick anybody, Kluber said. I am going to try to execute my pitches, and they are going to try to hit my mistakes. This will be the first career postseason appearance for the 2014 AL Cy Young Award winner.Im sure there will be some nerves, but I get nerves if its live batting practice in spring training, Kluber said. That just means you care what youre doing.Kluber was originally lined up to be Clevelands Game 1 starter, but he sustained a slightly strained groin that forced him out of his last regular-season start after four innings. His start Friday will be his first in 10 days, as Indians officials wanted to give his groin some extra rest.I think the 10 days off did other parts of my body good, Kluber said, but Im not worried about (the groin). I had a good couple of bullpens, so Im not worried about the 10 days rest.Unlike Kluber, Price has plenty of postseason experience, though most of it has been forgettable. He has appeared in 14 postseason games, eight of them starts, and has a record of 2-7 with a 5.12 ERA. However, he has never won a postseason game as a starter. In those eight outings, he is 0-7 with a 5.27 ERA.Price is mindful of his dismal postseason track record.I want to go out there and win, he said. I want to be dominant. I want to have that really good postseason game that I know Im capable of.Red Sox manager John Farrell said he gladly would take a start similar to most of Prices regular-season outings. When you consider the body of work and how hes been a very dependable guy standing on the mound every five days, hes been a very good starter for us, Farrell said.
